Stephen is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in strategy development, digital transformation, and go-to-market execution. He is passionate about the influence of customer-centricity on financial performance and uses this to help organizations thrive amid AI-fueled disruption.
As Co-Founder of Navigating Growth Partners, he works closely with leading enterprises and investment firms to drive transformative growth through the strategic application of AI. In addition to serving on the Board of Trustees at the ARF, Stephen teaches Customer Centricity in the Age of AI as a professor at NYU. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BSBA in Marketing from Georgetown University.
Heberden Ryan

Heb is a senior executive with principal investing, advisory, and operating experience in high growth, early stage, and middle market companies. He has also served on the boards of eleven private companies and has a strong grounding in institutional investor mandates, governance, and fiduciary responsibility.
Heb has spent his career focused on identifying promising companies in turbulent markets undergoing radical change. This background has uniquely positioned him to help Navigating Growth Partners’ clients see around the corners ahead and develop and implement proactive strategies to capitalize on market upheavals.
As a principal investor in venture capital and private equity and as a senior executive, Heb has worked with companies in a wide range of industries including media, technology, telecommunications, business services, tech-enabled services, and niche manufacturing.
Heb’s relationships in the HBS and MIT academic communities has kept him at the forefront of the technological innovations that have massively disrupted various industries over the past 25 years. Heb has served annually as a judge in the HBS New Venture Competition for more than 20 years and he has also been a guest lecturer or guest speaker at Harvard College, Harvard Business School, and Brandeis International Business School. Heb received an MBA from Harvard Business School and a B.A., magna cum laude, from Harvard College.
